FBR transfers 153 IRS officers in major reshuffle

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has undertaken a significant reshuffle in the Inland Revenue Service (IRS), announcing the transfers and postings of 153 officers in the latest round of administrative changes.

In a series of notifications issued on September 2, 2022, the FBR detailed the transfers and postings of IRS officers across various grades. The reshuffle includes officers in BS-17 to BS-20 categories, reflecting the FBR’s commitment to organizational restructuring and ensuring a dynamic and effective leadership within the IRS.

1. Muhammad Tariq Arbab (BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Digital Invoicing and Analysis, Islamabad. Also assigned additional charge of the post of Director General (OPS) (Retail), FBR (HQ), Islamabad.

2. Asem Iftikhar (BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Islamabad.

3. Mohammed Nasser Janjua (BS-20): Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Enforcement – II) Medium Taxpayers Office, Karachi.

4. Ms. Amna Faiz Bhatty (BS-20): Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Audit-II) Large Taxpayers Office, Lahore.

5. Muhammad Anwar (BS-20): Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Gujrat Zone) Regional Tax Office, Sialkot.

The FBR highlighted that officers drawing performance allowance prior to the issuance of the notification would continue to receive the same allowance at their new place of posting.
