FBR Transfers Muhammad Saeed Watto as Customs Collector at Port Qasim

Karachi, January 5, 2026 — The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the transfer of Muhammad Saeed Watto, a BS-20 officer of the Pakistan Customs Service, to the position of Collector at the Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Karachi. The transfer comes as part of a broader reshuffling of senior customs officers across key departments in the country.

According to FBR Notification No. 0018-C-I/2026, issued on January 5, 2026, the transfers and postings of senior BS-20 officers of the Pakistan Customs Service have been made with immediate effect and until further orders. The notification specifies the following major changes:

1. Ms. Tayyeba Kayani, previously serving as Collector, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Karachi has been posted as Chief at FBR Headquarters, Islamabad.

2. Mr. Muhammad Saeed Watto, previously serving as Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Lahore, has been transferred to Collector, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Port Qasim, Karachi.

3. Mr. Agha Saeed Ahmed, previously Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication-II), Karachi, has been posted to Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Lahore.

The FBR also clarified that officers who were receiving performance allowances prior to the notification will continue to draw the allowance at their new postings.

All officers involved have been requested to submit their charge relinquishment and assumption reports to the FBR immediately for official record and further necessary action.

This administrative reshuffle reflects the FBR’s ongoing efforts to strengthen customs administration at critical trade hubs like Port Qasim, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure robust enforcement of customs laws across Pakistan.
