Faisalabad, March 4, 2026 – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has set up a Pre-Departure Immigration Facilitation and Guidance Desk along with a Risk Analysis Unit in its Faisalabad Zone to prevent human smuggling and provide full support to outbound travelers.
Officials said the new desk will offer comprehensive guidance to passengers planning to travel abroad. Travelers can visit the zonal office in person or contact the helpline to receive information on essential travel documents, legal formalities, and mandatory requirements, helping them avoid complications during their journey.
“Lack of awareness about documentation and legal obligations often leads to difficulties for passengers at airports and foreign destinations,” FIA officials noted.
Educating Travelers and Combating Fraud
The initiative aims to educate travelers about lawful procedures and protect them from fraudulent agents and illegal travel networks. The Risk Analysis Unit will analyze passenger data, detect suspicious travel trends, and study human smuggling methods. This unit will also share timely information with relevant authorities to ensure prompt action against organized smuggling operations.
Ensuring Safe and Legal Overseas Travel
These measures form part of a broader FIA strategy to ensure safe and legal overseas travel for Pakistanis while strengthening efforts to prevent human smuggling and related crimes. Officials emphasized that the combined efforts of guidance and risk analysis will enhance passenger safety and uphold legal travel standards.
