Islamabad, March 25, 2026 – Pakistan’s Hajj flight operation for 2026 is set to begin on April 18, with the first batch of pilgrims departing for Saudi Arabia under the government scheme, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
The month-long operation will continue until May 21, during which a total of 468 flights will transport pilgrims from various cities across Pakistan to the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah.
Flights from Major Cities Across Pakistan
Hajj flights will initially depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan starting April 18. Overall, eight cities will participate in the operation, including Islamabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Sukkur.
According to the official schedule, Islamabad will handle the highest number of flights (129), followed by Karachi (124) and Lahore (104). Multan will operate 34 flights, Sialkot 26, Faisalabad 23, Quetta 18, and Sukkur five flights.
Airlines Participating in Hajj Operation
The Hajj operation will be conducted by multiple airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue, Air Sial, and Saudia.
On the opening day, four flights are scheduled to depart for Madinah. During the first 15 days, all pilgrims will be flown exclusively to Madinah, with a total of 186 flights planned for the city.
Jeddah Flights to Begin from May 4
Flights to Jeddah will commence from May 4, with 282 flights scheduled to transport pilgrims directly to Makkah via Jeddah.
Over 119,000 Pilgrims to Travel Under Government Scheme
Under the official Hajj scheme, around 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj this year. This includes 67,230 male pilgrims and 51,846 female pilgrims traveling to the holy sites.
Digital Access to Flight Schedules
The ministry has advised pilgrims to check their flight details through the official mobile application, Pak Hajj Mobile, while complete schedules are also available on the ministry’s website.
Authorities have urged all pilgrims to stay updated with travel instructions and ensure timely preparations for a smooth and organized Hajj journey.
