Foldable iPhone Ultra Appears in New Leaked Images Ahead of Launch

IT & Telecom

Apple’s highly anticipated foldable smartphone has surfaced in a fresh set of leaked dummy images, offering what could be one of the clearest looks yet at the company’s first foldable iPhone ahead of its expected debut later this year.

The device, widely rumoured to be called the iPhone Ultra, is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series in September. The latest leaked images showcase the foldable handset in a black finish, highlighting its book-style design and large internal display.

According to the leak, the iPhone Ultra could feature an ultra-thin profile comparable to Samsung’s latest foldable devices. The smartphone is said to measure approximately 4.5mm when unfolded, making it one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market if the specifications prove accurate.

The images reveal a wide-screen form factor that resembles Huawei’s foldable designs. When opened, the device appears to offer a tablet-like experience, with a large internal display that could appeal to users seeking enhanced productivity and media consumption capabilities.

On the rear, the foldable iPhone Ultra appears to feature a dual-camera setup housed within a pill-shaped camera module. Meanwhile, the internal display reportedly includes a hole-punch cutout positioned in the upper-left corner for the selfie camera.

The external cover display is also expected to feature a punch-hole camera positioned centrally at the top of the screen. The leaked dummy units show volume controls along the top edge, while the power button is located on the side frame.

Notably, the device appears to include a dedicated Camera Control button, a feature that has become increasingly prominent in Apple’s latest smartphone designs.

Industry rumours suggest the foldable iPhone Ultra will be powered by Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chipset and equipped with 12GB of RAM. The handset is expected to feature a 5.49-inch cover display and a larger 7.76-inch flexible inner screen.

Apple has not officially confirmed the existence of the foldable device. However, multiple reports indicate that the company is preparing to enter the foldable smartphone segment after years of speculation.

The iPhone Ultra is widely expected to be unveiled on September 8 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, potentially marking one of Apple’s most significant product launches in recent years.
