Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced a major update for its popular vehicles, the Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux Revo, in celebration of its 35th anniversary in Pakistan.
These enhancements focus on safety, convenience, and infotainment, while the ex-factory Karachi prices remain unchanged. The move is expected to attract a wider range of buyers looking for better features without added cost. Deliveries of the upgraded models will begin on July 23.
The new updates target three main areas: improved safety systems, enhanced user convenience, and a modern infotainment interface.
For the Fortuner GR-S, a major highlight is the inclusion of a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), providing a bird’s-eye view to help with tight parking and navigation.
This is complemented by the addition of Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which are designed to alert drivers of unseen vehicles and improve safety during lane changes and reversing maneuvers.
All Fortuner variants have also received a completely new infotainment system. The updated unit is equipped with a more powerful 3-core processor and a high-definition (1280×720) display, offering quicker response times and sharper visuals.
Additionally, it now supports Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eliminating the need for cables and making smartphone connectivity seamless. A 3.0A fast-charging USB port has also been added, allowing users to keep their devices charged while on the move.
The Toyota Hilux Revo series has been upgraded similarly. The top-tier Revo GR-S variant now features the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), a particularly useful feature for large vehicles used in multiple driving conditions.
Like the Fortuner, all Revo variants now offer the upgraded infotainment setup, complete with wireless smartphone connectivity and a high-speed charging port.
With these enhancements, Toyota IMC aims to provide greater value to customers by adding advanced features without increasing the price.
These updates bring both the Fortuner and Revo in line with global standards, ensuring a more premium yet accessible driving experience. Toyota’s decision to integrate modern safety and infotainment technologies is likely to solidify its strong presence in Pakistan’s SUV and pickup market segments.
