Geely Auto Pakistan is reportedly preparing to expand its presence in the local electric vehicle market with two new models. The Geely EX5 electric SUV and EX2 electric hatchback are expected to be among the company’s first EV offerings for Pakistani consumers.
The automaker has not officially confirmed the names or specifications of its upcoming Pakistani lineup. However, recent images showing two electric vehicles have fueled expectations that the EX5 and EX2 could be introduced locally.
Their potential arrival comes as Pakistan’s electric mobility market continues to attract several international and domestic automakers.
Geely EX5 Offers Strong Electric SUV Package
The Geely EX5 is expected to compete in the compact electric SUV category. International specifications indicate that the model uses a 60.2 kWh LFP battery connected to a front-mounted electric motor.
The motor produces 160 kW, equivalent to around 218 horsepower, along with 320 Nm of torque. The SUV can reportedly accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 175 km/h.
The EX5 offers a claimed CLTC range of up to 530 km. It also supports DC fast charging, with the battery capable of charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.
The SUV measures 4,615 mm in length and has a 2,750 mm wheelbase, helping provide a relatively spacious cabin.
EX2 Targets Practical Urban EV Buyers
The Geely EX2 is positioned as a smaller electric hatchback aimed at everyday urban mobility. It features a 39.4 kWh LFP battery and a rear-wheel-drive electric motor producing 85 kW, or approximately 114 horsepower, and 150 Nm of torque.
The EX2 can complete the 0–100 km/h sprint in 11.5 seconds and has a top speed of 130 km/h. Its claimed CLTC range reaches 410 km.
For faster charging, the hatchback supports DC charging from 30% to 80% in about 25 minutes. It measures 4,135 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and 1,580 mm high, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase.
Potential Addition to Pakistan’s EV Market
If officially launched, the Geely EX5 and EX2 could strengthen the company’s position in Pakistan’s expanding EV segment. However, details regarding launch dates, variants, pricing and local specifications have yet to be officially announced.
