GWM Pakistan’s two plug-in hybrid SUVs offer different strengths, with the H6 GT prioritising performance while the H6 PHEV focuses on efficiency and practicality.
GWM Pakistan has introduced the Haval H6 GT PHEV in the local market, adding a performance-oriented option to its plug-in hybrid SUV lineup. The new model can be compared with the Haval H6 PHEV, which places greater emphasis on electric driving capability, fuel efficiency and everyday usability.
With both SUVs positioned at nearly the same price point, the key differences come down to performance, driving character, electric range and equipment.
Price Comparison
The Haval H6 GT PHEV carries an ex-factory price of Rs12,949,000, while the Haval H6 PHEV is priced at Rs12,895,000.
The difference is only Rs54,000, making the comparison more about specifications and intended use than the initial purchase price.
Haval H6 GT PHEV: Performance Focus
The H6 GT PHEV is positioned as Pakistan’s fastest SUV by GWM Pakistan and has been developed with a stronger performance character. It produces 430 hp and 642 Nm of torque through its turbocharged plug-in hybrid setup.
A 4-speed DHT is paired with the powertrain, while the chassis has been tuned to provide greater stability during spirited driving. The GT styling and performance-oriented cabin further distinguish it from the standard H6 PHEV.
Haval H6 PHEV: Efficiency and Range
The H6 PHEV takes a different approach, combining electric driving with gasoline-powered flexibility. It offers a claimed combined range of up to 1,000 km and an electric range of up to 100 km on a single charge.
Its Hi4 technology provides all-wheel-drive capability while aiming to maintain the energy efficiency associated with front-wheel-drive operation.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the H6 GT PHEV features a 14.6-inch infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, GT-branded seats, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless charging and 8-way electric adjustment for the front seats.
The H6 PHEV also gets a 14.6-inch infotainment system, updated steering wheel and user interface, along with 4G remote-control functionality. Its safety package includes Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist and Auto Parking Assist.
