Islamabad, July 3, 2025 – Monsoon season is in full swing, and the people of Punjab should brace themselves for more wet weather heading their way this Friday, July 4, 2025.

If you’re living in or planning to travel to areas like Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, or Sialkot, don’t forget your umbrellas! The monsoon system is likely to bring intermittent rain, with heavyfalls expected at isolated spots, especially in central and northeastern Punjab. On the national front, the synoptic situation indicates weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal moving into upper and central Pakistan, fueling these monsoon rains. Friday’s forecast includes more scattered rain and thunderstorms in regions like Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southern and northeastern Punjab, the Potohar plateau, and southeastern Sindh.

Over the past 24 hours, monsoon rains made their mark. In Punjab, Faisalabad received 33mm, Chakwal 28mm, and Multan 13mm among others. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan also saw rainfall, while much of the country sweltered under hot and humid conditions – with temperatures soaring up to 48°C in Dalbandin and Nokundi.
