Gigi Hadid reportedly hurt by Zayn Malik’s ‘not in love’ confession, chooses silence

Supermodel Gigi Hadid is reportedly trying to move past a painful remark from her former partner Zayn Malik, after the singer recently claimed he does not believe he was ever “in love” during their years-long relationship.

The comment reportedly caught Hadid off guard and resurfaced old emotions, despite the couple having separated several years ago. The former pair share a daughter, Khai Malik, and have largely maintained a co-parenting relationship since their split.

Insider Claims Comment Was ‘Triggering’

According to sources close to the situation, the statement surprised Hadid even though she has moved on with her life.

“Gigi is way beyond being hurt by anything Zayn says, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t triggering for her,” a source reportedly told Radar Online.

The insider added that Hadid is aware of public comments made by her former partner and did not appreciate the remark. However, she has no intention of responding publicly to Malik’s statement.

“She would never give Zayn the satisfaction of saying anything directly in response—she’s not interested in getting into a big public fight with him,” the source said.

Gigi Focused on New Relationship

Hadid is currently dating Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper, and sources say she is focused on maintaining a positive environment for her daughter rather than revisiting past conflicts.

However, insiders suggested that her recent public appearance with Cooper in New York, where the couple were seen sharing a kiss, may have appeared like a subtle response to Malik’s remarks.

Still, people close to the model insist her priority remains keeping things cordial for the sake of Khai.

“She wants to keep things as friendly as possible for Khai’s sake and is very happy with her new partner, who also happens to be a huge movie star,” the source said.

Moving Forward

Despite the resurfaced tension, Hadid reportedly prefers to avoid public disputes and focus on her personal life and career.

Sources added that while she hopes Malik finds peace and growth, she remains committed to maintaining stability and privacy for their daughter as both parents continue co-parenting.
