KARACHI – Pakistan’s bullion market on Tuesday opened with a notable increase in both gold and silver prices compared to the previous session, signaling renewed investor interest amid global uncertainty.

As of 9:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time, the official rate for 24-karat gold stood at Rs. 370,700 per tola, up from Rs. 367,400 a day earlier. Similarly, the price for 10 grams rose to Rs. 317,815 from Rs. 314,986, while 22-karat gold traded at Rs. 291,341 per 10 grams. Globally, gold maintained its safe-haven appeal, hovering around $3,480 per ounce, reflecting inflationary concerns and geopolitical tensions.

The silver market mirrored this upward trend. A tola of 24-karat silver was priced at Rs. 4,303 on Tuesday, compared to Rs. 4,202 the previous day, while the price per 10 grams slightly eased to Rs. 3,389 from Rs. 3,602 due to market adjustments. On the international front, silver traded near $40.70 per ounce, driven by industrial demand and investment interest.

Compared to September 1, both precious metals recorded an increase of Rs. 3,300 per tola for gold and Rs. 101 per tola for silver, highlighting bullish sentiment in the bullion market.

Analysts predict that prices will remain sensitive to global interest rate policies, currency fluctuations, and investor appetite for safe-haven assets.
