Karachi, March 11, 2026 – Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Wednesday, rising by Rs3,700 per tola as international bullion markets moved higher amid geopolitical uncertainty and strong global demand for safe-haven assets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed to Rs543,262, compared with the previous day’s closing price of Rs537,562 in the local bullion market.
This marks the second consecutive increase in gold prices in Pakistan, supported by rising international prices and improving market sentiment linked to hopes of an early end to the ongoing Iran-related conflict in the Middle East.
Gold Price Per 10 Grams in Pakistan
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also recorded a significant rise, increasing by Rs3,172 to Rs465,759, up from the previous close of Rs462,587 in domestic markets.
Previous Record High for Gold in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan had earlier reached an all-time high of Rs572,862 per tola on January 29, 2026, reflecting intense volatility in global precious metal markets driven by geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty.
International Gold Market Trends
Bullion traders noted that gold prices in Pakistan are largely influenced by movements in international markets, currency exchange rates, and local demand.
In the global market, gold prices surged by $37 per ounce, reaching $5,205, compared with the previous closing level of $5,168 per ounce.
Market analysts say that ongoing conflict in the Middle East and global trade disputes have kept gold prices volatile, as investors continue to shift toward safe-haven assets during periods of uncertainty.
Outlook for Gold Prices
Experts believe that the direction of gold prices in Pakistan will continue to depend on international bullion trends, geopolitical developments, and fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
If global tensions persist, analysts expect continued volatility in gold markets, which could push local gold prices higher in the coming weeks.
