Gold prices rise Rs1,200 in Pakistan on October 5, 2026

24-karat gold reaches Rs437,536 per tola as international bullion prices gain $12 per ounce.

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs1,200 per tola on Monday, October 5, 2026, following a rise in international bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose to Rs437,536 per tola, compared with the previous closing price of Rs436,336 in the domestic bullion market.

Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,029 per 10 grams, reaching Rs375,116 against the previous closing of Rs374,087.

Bullion market experts attributed the increase in domestic gold prices to the upward trend in international markets. They said persistent global inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainty continued to contribute to volatility in bullion prices.

In the international market, gold prices climbed by $12 per ounce, rising to $4,150 from the previous close of $4,138.

Market participants continue to closely monitor global economic developments and geopolitical tensions, which remain key drivers of movements in gold prices.

Changes in international bullion rates also have a direct impact on domestic gold prices in Pakistan, with local market rates generally responding to fluctuations in global prices.

The latest increase keeps gold prices at elevated levels in the local market as investors continue to view the precious metal as a hedge against economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
