Karachi, October 24, 2025 – The price of gold in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline on Friday, dropping by Rs2,000 per tola, following downward trends in the international bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24-karat gold settled at Rs431,862 per tola, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs433,862 in the local bullion markets. Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams fell by Rs1,714, closing at Rs370,252, down from Rs371,966 a day earlier.

The decline marks another adjustment after gold touched a record high of Rs456,900 per tola on October 17, 2025, amid strong demand and global uncertainty. However, easing conditions in the international market and fluctuations in the global dollar index have led to a cooling trend in recent sessions.

Market experts explained that the drop in local prices mirrors global movements, where international gold rates fell by $20 per ounce, closing at $4,095 compared to $4,115 a day earlier. Analysts further added that the geopolitical situation, changing trade dynamics, and investor profit-taking have contributed to ongoing volatility in gold prices both globally and domestically.

With these shifts, traders and investors are keeping a close watch on the upcoming global market cues, as Pakistan’s gold market remains sensitive to international bullion trends and currency exchange fluctuations.
