Domestic gold prices fall for a third consecutive session as international bullion rates also decline.
KARACHI, September 29, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Tuesday, falling by another Rs800 per tola and taking the precious metal’s cumulative decline to Rs15,700 over three consecutive sessions, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs437,336 per tola, compared with Rs438,136 in the previous session, extending the recent weakness in the domestic bullion market.
Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold declined by Rs686 per 10 grams to Rs374,945, down from the previous closing rate of Rs375,631.
International gold prices also decline
Gold prices in the international market also edged lower on Tuesday, contributing to the decline in domestic bullion rates.
The international price of gold fell by $8 per ounce to $4,148, compared with the previous close of $4,156.
Market analysts attributed the weakness in local gold prices largely to softer international bullion rates. They noted that geopolitical developments and concerns about rising inflation continued to contribute to volatility in global precious metals markets.
Investors monitor global economic developments
Gold prices remain sensitive to changes in global economic conditions, inflation expectations, geopolitical tensions and movements across financial markets. Such factors can influence investor demand for gold as a store of value.
In Pakistan, domestic gold prices are also affected by international bullion rates and exchange-rate movements, along with local market conditions.
The latest decline extends gold’s three-session losing streak, with traders and investors continuing to monitor developments in global markets for signals on the direction of prices in the coming sessions.
