After weeks of speculation, Google has officially confirmed August 20 as the date for its highly anticipated Pixel 10 series launch event.
The tech giant is expected to unveil a wide range of new hardware, including several Pixel smartphones and wearables.
While earlier rumors pointed to a possible August 13 event, Google has now put all speculation to rest. The confirmed August 20 date aligns with multiple leaks, continuing the trend of early Pixel details surfacing long before launch. As with past releases, the Pixel line appears to remain one of the most leak-prone in the industry.
At the event, Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, along with the Pixel Watch 4. Additionally, the Pixel Buds 2a might make an appearance, offering a refreshed audio experience for Android users.
The upcoming Pixel 10 devices are rumored to feature macro capabilities in both their telephoto and ultrawide cameras, enhancing close-up photography. Another highlight is the introduction of “Pixelsnap” magnetic accessories.
However, unlike Apple’s MagSafe integration, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to support these accessories only via magnetic cases, as the phones themselves won’t include built-in magnets.
Under the hood, the entire Pixel 10 family will be powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, marking a major shift in Google’s hardware strategy. Unlike previous Tensor chips made by Samsung, the G5 will be manufactured by TSMC, promising improved performance, efficiency, and potentially better thermal management.
This year’s Pixel launch signals a new chapter for Google’s mobile division, as the company continues to strengthen its in-house chip development and ecosystem integration. With the event now officially dated, fans can look forward to discovering all the features and innovations that the Pixel 10 series will bring.
Stay tuned for full coverage of Google’s August 20 event, where the next generation of Pixel devices and accessories will finally be revealed.
