Google Launches Flight Deals AI Tool for Cheap Travel

Google has introduced Flight Deals, a brand-new AI-powered feature within Google Flights, designed specifically for travelers looking to save money on their next trip.

The tool is rolling out in beta this week across the U.S., Canada, and India, giving users smarter ways to discover affordable travel options.

Unlike traditional search filters where travelers manually adjust dates, destinations, and airlines, Flight Deals allows users to simply describe their ideal trip in natural language.

For example, you can type: “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” or “10-day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder.” The tool then delivers the best available bargains, often surfacing destinations travelers may not have previously considered.

What makes Flight Deals stand out is its use of Google’s advanced AI technology to understand the context and preferences within a traveler’s request. Once the AI interprets the description, it pulls in real-time data from Google Flights, scanning hundreds of airlines and booking platforms to show accurate, up-to-date flight options.

Google says the launch of Flight Deals is part of its effort to make travel planning more intuitive and affordable. While this new feature is available in beta for testing and feedback, the original Google Flights platform will continue to operate and improve.

In fact, an additional update is being introduced: U.S. and Canadian users will now have the option to exclude basic economy fares from search results, making it easier to compare flights with added perks like seat selection and carry-on bags.

To try out Flight Deals, users can head directly to the new section via the top-left menu on Google Flights or visit the dedicated page. Since it’s rolling out automatically, no opt-in is required.

With the introduction of Flight Deals, Google is positioning itself as a smarter companion for flexible travelers, making it easier than ever to discover affordable trips and hidden gems. As more users test the beta, feedback will help shape the future of AI-powered travel planning.
