Google is preparing to officially unveil the Pixel 10a on February 18, and the company has already confirmed the smartphone’s design ahead of launch.
While the exterior look aligns with earlier expectations, newly leaked retailer information suggests the upcoming device will feature a handful of notable upgrades compared to its predecessor.
According to details shared by German publication WinFuture, the Pixel 10a will remain largely similar to the Pixel 9a in hardware configuration but will introduce key improvements in durability, connectivity, and charging performance.
One of the most significant changes is the display protection. The Pixel 10a will reportedly use Gorilla Glass 7i instead of Gorilla Glass 3, offering improved resistance to scratches and drops. Connectivity is also getting a boost, with Bluetooth 6 replacing Bluetooth 5.4, positioning the device for faster and more reliable wireless performance.
Charging capabilities appear to be another highlight. The Pixel 10a is expected to support 45W wired charging, a substantial increase from the 23W speeds of the previous model. However, leaked specifications do not confirm whether wireless charging support will continue, leaving uncertainty about whether the feature has been removed or simply omitted from retailer data.
Battery capacity remains unchanged at 5,100 mAh, but the phone will be slightly lighter at 183 grams. Its dimensions have also been subtly adjusted, making it marginally shorter and narrower while slightly thicker than before.
Internally, the Pixel 10a is expected to retain the Tensor G4 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB using UFS 3.1 technology. The device will feature a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,424×1,080 resolution, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Camera hardware will include a 48MP main sensor, 13MP ultrawide lens, and 13MP front-facing camera. Additional features reportedly include IP68 water and dust resistance, Android 16 out of the box, and seven years of software and security updates.
The Pixel 10a is expected to launch in Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and Berry color options. European pricing is rumored at €499 for the 128GB model and €599 for the 256GB variant, with a limited pre-order promotion offering the higher storage option at the lower price tier.
