Google says replacement components for the Pixel 11 lineup will remain available for seven years, matching its long-term software support commitment.
Google has confirmed that its new Pixel 11 series will receive seven years of spare parts support, extending the company’s commitment to keeping its latest smartphones usable for longer.
The announcement was reportedly made during the Pixel 11 series launch event in India. Google said spare parts will be available in every market where the Pixel 11 lineup is officially sold.
The policy means Pixel 11 owners should be able to access replacement components, including batteries and displays, several years after purchasing their smartphones.
Battery replacement could be particularly important for long-term owners, as smartphone batteries naturally lose capacity after years of regular charging and use. Continued access to replacement batteries can help extend the usable lifespan of a device rather than requiring users to replace the entire phone.
Pixel 11 series gets seven years of software updates
Google is also guaranteeing seven years of Android operating system and security updates for the entire Pixel 11 lineup.
The commitment applies to the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, giving users a longer support period for both software and hardware components.
The combination of long-term software updates and spare parts availability could make the Pixel 11 series a more attractive option for consumers who intend to keep their smartphones for several years.
Pixel 11 series prices
The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899 for the 256GB model with 12GB of RAM, while the 512GB version with 12GB of RAM is listed at $1,019.
The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 for 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The 512GB model with 16GB of RAM is priced at $1,219.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,299 for 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, while its 512GB, 16GB RAM configuration costs $1,419.
Meanwhile, the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899 for 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The 512GB version with 16GB of RAM is priced at $2,019.
Google’s seven-year spare parts commitment brings the hardware support period in line with the software lifespan of the Pixel 11 family, potentially allowing owners to keep their devices functional well beyond the typical smartphone upgrade cycle.
