New York’s iconic Governors Ball festival returned in 2026 with three days of unforgettable performances, spanning global superstars and rising artists. Held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 5–7, the festival set the tone for an exciting summer of music.
The opening night on June 5 was all about Lorde, who made her much-anticipated return to Governors Ball, delighting longtime fans with a powerful headlining set. The day also featured standout performances from Baby Keem, Katseye, Pierce the Veil, Mariah the Scientist, King Princess, and Flipturn, keeping the crowd energized throughout the day.
June 6 brought a historic moment for K-pop fans as Stray Kids closed the night in their first Governors Ball appearance. Earlier in the day, the festival showcased Kali Uchis, Major Lazer, Wet Leg, and Ravyn Lenae, each delivering dynamic performances. Stray Kids’ Seungmin reflected on their journey, saying, “Of course we recognize the difference in the crowds we’re playing to now, but our mindset of how we approach the concert has not changed from our debut. We’re grateful that we are still doing shows and people come to see us, and we’re proud to have come this far.”
The festival wrapped up on June 7 with A$AP Rocky headlining, delivering high-energy performances just ahead of his highly anticipated new album. Governors Ball 2026 proved to be a perfect mix of nostalgia, fresh talent, and global music excitement.
