GuGo Motors is preparing to introduce its second electric vehicle (EV) in Pakistan—the GuGo Box EV, formerly known as the Nammi 01.

The official unveiling is scheduled for February 6, 2025, in Islamabad, where pricing and booking details will be revealed. This article explores the key specifications and features of the GuGo Box EV.

Three Variants to Choose From

The GuGo Box EV will be available in three trims: E1, E2, and E3, each catering to different consumer needs with unique features and performance capabilities.

Performance and Driving Range

The GuGo Box EV offers solid performance across its lineup. The base E1 variant is equipped with a 31.4 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, while the E2 and E3 variants come with a larger 42.3 kWh LFP battery. All three variants generate 94hp and 180 Nm of torque through a permanent magnet front motor.

With a top speed capped at 140 km/h, the E1 variant delivers a CLTC-rated range of 339 kilometers, whereas the E2 and E3 extend the range to 430 kilometers.

Fast charging is a standard feature, enabling an 80% charge in just 30 minutes via a 6.6 kW AC charger. The Box EV supports AC Type 2 Europe and DC Combo (CCS2) charging ports. GuGo Motors provides a 2-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty and a 4-year/150,000 km battery warranty.

Exterior Design and Features

The GuGo Box EV is a five-door hatchback measuring 4,030mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,570mm in height, with a 2,660mm wheelbase. Its exterior highlights include adaptive high and low-beam headlights (E3), LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with automatic on/off and height adjustment, and frameless doors with hidden powered handles.

Rim sizes differ across variants, with 16-inch wheels on the E1 and 17-inch wheels on the E2 and E3. The E3 comes with aluminum alloy wheels as standard, while they are optional on the E2.

Electric side mirrors are included across all variants, with heated mirrors exclusive to the E3 and electric folding mirrors available as an optional upgrade. The Box EV will be offered in both single and dual-tone shades, including white, silver, and black.

Interior and Technology

Inside the cabin, the E1 features fabric seats, while the E2 and E3 come with artificial leather upholstery. Electric seat adjustments, heated and ventilated seats, and memory functions are available as optional upgrades for the E2 and E3 trims.

All variants sport a white and black interior theme. Electric air conditioning is standard, with the E3 featuring automatic climate control.

A 5-inch colored LCD instrument cluster comes standard, while the E2 and E3 offer a 12-inch infotainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity and wireless charging.

Safety and Driver Assistance Features

GuGo Motors prioritizes safety, equipping all Box EV variants with dual airbags, ABS, EBD, HSA, ESC, BA, pre-tension seatbelts, ISOFIX anchors, seatbelt reminders, and indirect tire pressure monitoring.

The E3 variant comes with Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Active Electronic Braking (AEB), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Traffic Jam Assistance (TJA) + Highway Driving Assistance (HWA), direct tire pressure monitoring, front radar, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and automatic parking.
