Bookings open for GWM ORA 5 in Pakistan with a Rs1.7 million advance payment as the brand expands its electric vehicle lineup.
GWM Pakistan has officially introduced the ORA 5 electric SUV in the local market, marking another step forward in the country’s growing electric vehicle (EV) segment.
Alongside the launch, the company has announced the vehicle’s ex-factory price and booking amount, allowing customers to reserve the new EV ahead of deliveries.
The arrival of the ORA 5 is expected to strengthen GWM Pakistan’s position in the premium electric vehicle market as consumer interest in environmentally friendly mobility solutions continues to rise.
Price and Booking Details
The GWM ORA 5 Electric SUV carries an ex-factory price of Rs8,599,000, while customers can secure a booking with an advance payment of Rs1,700,000.
With this launch, GWM expands its electric vehicle portfolio in Pakistan, offering buyers another option in the fast-growing EV crossover segment.
Expected Specifications
Although GWM Pakistan has yet to disclose the complete local specifications, the international version provides a clear indication of the features expected in the Pakistani model.
Globally, the ORA 5 is powered by a 60 kWh battery pack, offering a usable battery capacity of 58.3 kWh. The battery uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, which is recognized for its enhanced safety, longer operational life, and improved thermal stability compared to conventional battery chemistries.
Charging Capabilities
The international model supports 11 kW AC charging through a Type 2 charging port positioned on the front-left side of the vehicle. Under optimal charging conditions, the battery can be fully replenished in approximately six hours.
The charging system is also capable of adding around 73 kilometers of driving range per hour, making it suitable for daily commuting as well as longer journeys with planned charging stops.
Performance and Driving Experience
Powering the ORA 5 is a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW of power and 260 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the electric SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately nine seconds, while its top speed reaches 160 km/h.
As a fully battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the ORA 5 delivers a quiet driving experience with instant torque and zero tailpipe emissions, making it an attractive option for buyers seeking sustainable transportation without compromising on performance.
