Prime minister to lead a high-level delegation for discussions on strategic cooperation, investment, and regional stability
ISLAMABAD, August 6, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will embark on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Thursday to August 8, 2026, for high-level talks with the Saudi leadership aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, expanding strategic cooperation, and discussing key regional and international developments.
According to an official statement, the prime minister will lead a high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other federal ministers.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will join the delegation from Madina Munawwara after concluding his visit to Jordan, where he attended the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem.
High-Level Talks with Crown Prince
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to review the full spectrum of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations.
The two leaders are expected to discuss measures to further deepen cooperation across political, economic, defence, investment, and people-to-people sectors while exchanging views on major regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Focus on Strategic Cooperation
Officials said the visit reflects the longstanding and close partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on decades of mutual trust, shared interests, and extensive cooperation.
