Model and entrepreneur Hailey Bieber has finally addressed the long-standing rumors about her alleged feud with Selena Gomez, putting the speculation to rest once and for all.
In a candid new interview with The Wall Street Journal, the 28-year-old founder of Rhode Skin spoke about how frustrating it has been to constantly be compared to other celebrities — particularly Justin Bieber’s ex, Selena.
Hailey expressed that she dislikes being “pitted against other people,” especially when it comes to comparisons between her beauty brand, Rhode, and Selena’s Rare Beauty. “I didn’t ask for that,” said Hailey, emphasizing that people often create their own stories without knowing the truth. “When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that,” she explained.
Despite the online drama, Hailey believes there is “space for everybody” in the beauty industry and said she doesn’t feel the need to compete with other women. “I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by,” the model added, noting that her focus remains on creativity, authenticity, and family life with her husband, Justin Bieber, and their son, Jack Blues.
This isn’t the first time Hailey has spoken about fan-driven narratives linking her to Selena. Back in 2023, she told The Circuit With Emily Chang that she “hated” how fans continuously tried to pit women against each other over a man. “There is no issue and no problem,” she insisted.
In her latest remarks, Hailey also reflected on the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding her marriage to Justin. “We’re both really finding our voices and walking authentically in who we want to be,” she said, closing the door on years of feud speculation.
