Islamabad, August 3, 2025 — The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially opened the application process for Hajj 2026, with the collection of dues set to begin on Monday, August 4.
According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, applicants who had already registered will be given priority under a first-come, first-served policy. These individuals must submit their first installment of Hajj dues between August 4 and August 9 through designated banks or the official online portal.
Umar Butt further announced that new applicants will be allowed to apply from August 11 to 16, subject to availability of seats. However, he warned that the collection of Hajj dues would be discontinued immediately once all seats are filled.
The Hajj 2026 package is expected to range between Rs 1.15 million and Rs 1.25 million, inclusive of the mandatory Dam-e-Shukr (sacrificial offering). A second installment of the dues will be collected starting November 1, 2025, he added.
In a notable policy shift, the ministry has removed the previous age limit and the restriction on performing Hajj more than once. This change is intended to enhance inclusivity and offer more opportunities to eligible pilgrims.
However, Butt clarified that children born after March 1, 2014, will not be eligible to apply for Hajj under the 2026 program.
The spokesperson strongly advised all interested individuals to adhere to the announced deadlines to secure their spot for Hajj 2026, as demand is expected to be high.
