Beloved Disney Channel series Hannah Montana is making a nostalgic comeback as Disney releases the first trailer for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. Fans get their first look at Miley Cyrus reprising her iconic character more than a decade after the show ended.
The trailer opens with Miley donning Hannah’s signature blonde wig and glittering outfit, walking through a meticulously recreated Stewart family living room and kitchen set. “I’m already getting emotional,” Miley admits while taking in the familiar surroundings.
The special features exclusive interviews and reflections on the cultural impact of Hannah Montana. At one point, Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper tells Miley, “This show defined a generation.” Fans will also enjoy heartfelt family moments, including Miley dancing with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, in front of the Stewart family’s famous green couch, and flipping through a scrapbook with her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, inside a recreation of Hannah’s iconic closet.
Reflecting on the milestone, the Grammy-winning singer shares, “This anniversary is for them, it’s for us. This feels like home to me.”
Disney confirmed that the special will premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, exactly 20 years after the series first aired. The trailer caption teased, “Happy Hannah-versary! The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special premieres March 24 on Disney+. #HannahMontana20.”
