Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have once again become the subject of breakup speculation following recent reports claiming tension within their marriage. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked concerns after eyewitnesses said Meghan appeared “overwhelmed” and “fighting back tears” during a visit to a Montecito bookstore.
According to Radar Online, sources allege the couple is facing disagreements over their children’s privacy. The reported tension emerged after Meghan briefly posted an Instagram video that showed Archie and Lilibet before deleting the clip.
“One of the reasons they left the U.K. was to avoid being chased by paparazzi,” an insider said. “They wanted a very private life. It feels hypocritical to want privacy but still post the children online.”
The source added that Harry was especially upset because of his own childhood in the spotlight. “He knows exactly what it’s like. He doesn’t want that for his kids.”
Amid the rumors, Meghan has reportedly stepped back into acting, recently filming a cameo for the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends. Insiders claim this could be part of a plan to regain independence should the marriage “reach a breaking point.”
“It could be her way of saying, ‘I need to return to my roots,’” a source shared. “It’s a backup plan in case she decides to leave.”
Sources also commented on what a potential split could look like, suggesting Meghan would “fight hard” for half of their earnings since stepping down as senior royals. They argued that much of the couple’s success in Hollywood is due to Meghan’s industry connections.
However, a close friend pushed back against the negativity, insisting that Harry and Meghan remain united. “They’ve learned to function within the chaos,” the friend said. “Constant drama and mayhem seem to be the glue holding them together right now.”
