Fans of Euphoria were thrilled after receiving a long-awaited update on the future of the acclaimed HBO drama. The much-anticipated third season has faced repeated delays, but recent comments from HBO’s CEO Casey Bloys have reignited excitement among its loyal audience.

In an interview with Variety, Bloys confirmed that Euphoria will return in the spring, though an exact premiere date has not yet been locked in. “It’ll be the spring, but we don’t have a date confirmed yet,” he said, adding that the network is determined to deliver a season worthy of the show’s massive following.

Bloys also opened up about collaborating with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, who is joining long-time music partner Labrinth for the new season’s score. “It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson,” Bloys remarked. “Labrinth’s music has defined the identity of Euphoria, and I’m excited to see how Zimmer’s influence will elevate the soundscape for season three.”

The road to Season 3 has been anything but smooth. Initially, production was scheduled to begin in 2024 with Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and the rest of the cast. However, HBO postponed filming, even encouraging stars to explore other projects while creator Sam Levinson refined the storyline. Reports surfaced that early drafts, which included a bold five-year time jump, left executives unsatisfied. Some creative disagreements arose, particularly surrounding Zendaya’s proposed character arc as a private detective.

Despite these hurdles, momentum is now building. Filming for Euphoria Season 3 is moving forward, and HBO appears confident that the latest chapter will push the boundary-breaking drama into exciting new territory.
