Karachi, August 4, 2025 – A thunderous wave of maritime activity has gripped Port Qasim, as the bustling hub of Pakistan’s seaborne trade witnessed a dramatic day of shipping operations.
The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its latest operations report at 0800 hours, unveiling a dynamic 24-hour snapshot of marine movement that’s keeping the nation’s trade engine roaring.
The port came alive with the sailing of the mighty M.V. ABILENE, a 200-meter behemoth loaded with 42,510 tons of coal, which departed from berth M/W-II under the charge of GAC Shipping. This vessel thundered out to sea with precision, marking a powerful start to the day’s operations.
Meanwhile, three cargo giants and a tanker dropped anchor with full force. M.V. PACIFIC NEXUS brought in over 30,000 tons of steel coils, handled by NYK Line Pakistan at berth M/W-I. M.T. STANLEY PARK, laden with 19,102 tons of phosphoric acid, was expertly berthed by Eastwind Shipping at EVTL. Container-laden M.V. TANJA and coal carrier M.V. DSI PHOENIX also joined the action, both managed by GAC Shipping and swiftly accommodated at QT2-I and M/W-II respectively.
With this fast-paced lineup, Port Qasim’s operations reflect the pulse of Pakistan’s maritime trade—efficient, high-volume, and unstoppable. As ships dock and depart with military precision, the port continues to affirm its status as a powerhouse of shipping operations in the region.
