The singer and actress recalled how she and her friends took revenge on a boy who had mistreated one of their friends during her late teenage years.
Hilary Duff has shared an unusual teenage prank, revealing how she and her friends once covered a boy’s front lawn with tuna and wieners after he treated one of their friends badly.
The 39-year-old singer and actress recalled the incident during Billboard’s Take Me Out video series, released on Tuesday, 3 November.
Recalling the incident, Duff said the boy had been treating her friend badly, while she and her friends had been drinking at the time.
The group subsequently bought what Duff described as the “cheapest, grossest can of wieners and tuna” and decided to carry out their prank on the boy’s front lawn.
Duff said the incident happened during her late teenage years, adding that she was generally not someone who went out frequently.
Describing the prank as “kind of evil”, the actress acknowledged that it happened a long time ago, before she had children.
The revelation comes as Duff continues to focus on her music career. Her single CATastrophe, released last month for the Cat in the Hat soundtrack, has been accompanied by a music video. The film is scheduled to open on Friday, 6 November.
Her album Luck… or Something was released in February, while her Lucky Me Tour has been extended into 2027 with 32 additional dates across Europe, Latin America and the United States, including a performance in Milan.
Duff’s candid recollection has offered fans a glimpse into her mischievous teenage years as she prepares for her expanded international tour.
