Higher vehicle sales, increased production, and a record tax refund strengthen Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan’s financial performance for FY2026.
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has reported a significant financial milestone for the year ended March 31, 2026, announcing that it received historic income tax refunds totaling Rs4.2 billion.
The record refund contributed positively to the company’s financial position during a year marked by strong sales growth, higher production, and improved liquidity.
The automaker delivered an impressive performance in FY2026, with vehicle sales rising sharply to 25,621 units, compared to 16,100 units in the previous financial year.
The increase reflects stronger market demand and improved business activity in Pakistan’s automotive sector.
To meet rising demand, the company also expanded its production, manufacturing 26,430 units during the year, significantly higher than the 15,545 units produced in FY2025.
In addition to the record income tax refunds, Honda Atlas further strengthened its financial position by selling trade debts worth Rs7.1 billion during the year.
The transaction enhanced the company’s working capital, providing additional financial flexibility to support its operations and future growth initiatives.
The company also reported an increase in loans, advances, deposits, prepayments, and other receivables. According to the report, this growth was mainly driven by higher sales tax recoverable due to increased import volumes and advance tax payments made to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Inventory levels also increased during FY2026 as Honda Atlas expanded procurement of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits, locally sourced components, and materials in transit.
The company stated that the higher inventory was intended to support planned production, ensure supply chain continuity, and maintain sufficient finished vehicle stock for its FY2027 sales strategy.
Meanwhile, the Board of Directors proposed a cash dividend of Rs9.00 per share, which was subsequently approved by shareholders during the company’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 29, 2026.
With record tax refunds, rising sales volumes, stronger production, and improved working capital, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan concluded FY2026 on a solid financial footing, positioning the company for continued growth and operational expansion in the upcoming fiscal year.
