Honda Icon E Review: Atlas Honda’s First EV Scooter for Pakistan

Atlas Honda, Pakistan’s leading motorcycle manufacturer, has officially stepped into the electric mobility market with the launch of its first electric scooter — the Honda Icon E. Known for decades of dominance in the petrol-powered two-wheeler segment, this move marks a bold step toward sustainable urban commuting.

Alongside the Icon E, the company has also rolled out an updated Honda CG 150, underlining its dual focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.

Design & Build Quality

The Honda Icon E is purpose-built for city riders who value style, practicality, and eco-friendliness. It sports a sleek and compact design, perfect for weaving through congested traffic.

Measuring 1796 mm in length, 680 mm in width, and 1085 mm in height, the scooter feels nimble yet stable.

Weighing only 86 kg and featuring an underbone-type frame, it offers easy handling without sacrificing control. The 48V, 30.6Ah removable lithium battery is neatly integrated, keeping the look clean while offering flexibility for charging.

Performance & Range

Under the seat lies a 1.58 kW DC brushless motor mounted on the rear wheel, delivering an impressive 85 Nm of torque. Two riding modes — Econ and Standard — cater to different needs. In Econ, you get up to 65 km per charge; in Standard, around 53 km. With an efficiency rating of 34.7 km per kWh, it’s ideal for short, cost-effective daily commutes.

While it won’t set speed records, the smooth acceleration, quiet operation, and low running costs make it a practical choice for urban environments.

Features & Equipment

Honda has fitted the Icon E with a telescopic front suspension for comfortable rides and a Combined Brake System (CBS) for enhanced safety. The ground clearance of 132 mm ensures it handles uneven city roads without scraping.

A 150 kg maximum load capacity makes it suitable for solo riders or light cargo, while the modern styling keeps it visually appealing.

Price & Availability

Priced at Rs 419,900 (ex-factory), the Honda Icon E falls into the premium electric scooter category in Pakistan. Bookings will be available soon via Atlas Honda’s nationwide dealership network, ensuring easy accessibility.
