Honor has officially expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of the Honor 400 Smart 5G in Europe.
The device joins the existing Honor 400, 400 Pro, and 400 Lite models, offering an even more budget-friendly alternative. The phone is currently available via Orange Spain, with a broader European release expected in the coming weeks.
The Honor 400 Smart 5G boasts a 6.77-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720×1610 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 700 nits peak brightness, delivering a smooth viewing experience despite its modest resolution. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, offering enough performance for everyday tasks.
In terms of photography, the phone sports a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, a 5MP selfie camera handles video calls and selfies. One of the standout features of the 400 Smart is its massive 6,500mAh battery, which supports 35W fast wired charging, ensuring long-lasting usage on a single charge.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15, layered with Honor’s Magic UI 9.0, and the company has promised five years of security updates for the device. In terms of design, the phone measures 166.89 x 76.8 x 8.39 mm and weighs 189 grams, offering a solid in-hand feel for its price.
While it sits at the entry-level end of the 400 series, the Honor 400 Smart 5G manages to undercut even the Honor 400 Lite in some areas, especially in terms of battery capacity. With a competitive price point and 5G connectivity, it aims to deliver excellent value for users seeking an affordable smartphone without sacrificing essential features.
