Honor has officially unveiled its new Honor 500 series in China, introducing a refreshed design and significant hardware improvements over the previous Honor 400 lineup.

The latest series includes the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro, both showcasing a premium redesign inspired by Apple’s iPhone Air aesthetics.

The standout feature is the updated rear camera layout, which now sports a raised visor-style camera island. Both models feature an aluminum frame paired with a sleek glass back, maintaining a slim 7.8mm profile. The Honor 500 weighs 198g, while the Pro variant weighs slightly more at 201g. Despite the lightweight build, both phones offer impressive durability thanks to full IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

On the front, both phones come equipped with 6.55-inch LTPO OLED displays offering a crisp 1,264 × 2,736px resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a remarkable peak brightness of 6,000 nits. They also feature in-display fingerprint sensors and 50MP front-facing cameras for high-quality selfies and video calls.

While the two models share similarities, the Honor 500 Pro delivers a clear performance edge with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. The standard Honor 500 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, ensuring strong performance for everyday tasks and gaming.

In the camera department, both phones include a 200MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The Honor 500 Pro adds a 50MP telephoto camera capable of 3x optical zoom, offering more versatility for photography enthusiasts.

Battery performance is another highlight, with both models equipped with massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon batteries. They support 80W fast wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging, while the Pro variant further includes 50W wireless charging.

Running MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, the Honor 500 series comes in Aquamarine, Starlight Powder, Moonlight Silver, and Obsidian Black. Pre-orders are now live in China, with shipments scheduled to begin on November 27.
