Honor’s Magic V5 stood out as one of the most impressive foldable smartphones of the past year, and early details are now emerging about its successor, the Honor Magic V6.
A new leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed several key specifications, offering a first look at what Honor is preparing for its next-generation foldable.
According to the leak, the Honor Magic V6 is expected to launch in China by mid-2026. As anticipated for a flagship foldable, the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor is expected to deliver major gains in performance and efficiency, positioning the Magic V6 among the most powerful foldables on the market when it arrives.
One of the biggest upgrades appears to be battery capacity. Digital Chat Station claims that Honor is testing two different battery configurations for the Magic V6.
The first variant features a 6,900mAh dual-cell battery and is believed to be destined for international markets. The second version reportedly includes an even larger 7,200mAh dual-cell battery, which is likely exclusive to the Chinese market.
While charging speeds have not yet been disclosed, the leak confirms that both Magic V6 variants will support wireless charging. This would continue Honor’s push to offer premium features across its foldable lineup, especially as competitors focus on battery life and charging convenience.
Camera hardware is another area set for a major upgrade. The Magic V6 is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera, aligning with an earlier rumor that surfaced earlier this year.
This high-resolution sensor is expected to significantly enhance image detail and low-light performance. It will be accompanied by a periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom, expanding the phone’s photography capabilities.
Additional details from the leak suggest the Magic V6 will include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, improved dust and water resistance ratings, and an ultra-thin design. These refinements indicate Honor’s focus on durability and portability without compromising flagship performance.
Although these specifications are still preliminary, they suggest the Honor Magic V6 could be a major step forward in the foldable smartphone segment when it launches in 2026.
