Honor has officially teased new details about its highly anticipated Magic8 Pro, highlighting its groundbreaking 200-megapixel telephoto camera.
According to the brand, this camera will set new industry standards with the first-ever CIPA 5.5-stop image stabilization, ensuring incredibly steady shots even with slower shutter speeds.
The telephoto camera will feature a 1/1.4-inch sensor, a wide f/2.6 aperture, and Honor’s exclusive AIMAGE Nox Engine for enhanced image processing. Thanks to its advanced stabilization system, users can shoot at shutter speeds 5.5 times slower than usual without compromising sharpness or clarity, making handheld photography more reliable than ever.
Honor has confirmed that the Magic8 series—including the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro—will launch on October 15, alongside MagicOS 10, the company’s latest Android-based operating system built on Android 16.
Under the hood, the Honor Magic8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring flagship-level performance for gaming, multitasking, and photography. It will offer configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, catering to users who demand both power and space.
Battery life is another highlight, as the device packs a massive 7,000 mAh battery supporting 120W fast wired charging and wireless charging, allowing users to stay connected longer with minimal downtime.
In addition to its powerful telephoto lens, the Magic8 Pro will also feature a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, ensuring versatile and high-quality photography across all shooting conditions.
With these top-tier specifications and cutting-edge imaging technology, the Honor Magic8 Pro aims to challenge flagship competitors from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Apple. More details, including full camera samples and pricing, are expected to be revealed at the October 15 global launch event.
