Honor has officially confirmed the launch date and design details of its upcoming luxury flagship, the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition.
The company has released official images and a teaser video showcasing the smartphone from every angle, highlighting its premium build and refined design language. The device is set to debut in China on January 19, alongside the recently confirmed Magic8 Pro Air.
The Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition features a refreshed design compared to its predecessor. Unlike the hexagonal camera module seen on the Magic7 RSR Porsche Edition, the new model adopts a redesigned rear camera layout that houses three high-end sensors. The overall look emphasizes symmetry and a motorsport-inspired aesthetic, staying true to the Porsche Design branding.
Honor has also confirmed two premium color options for the smartphone: Moonlight Stone and Slate Grey. Both finishes are designed to complement the phone’s luxury positioning and will be available at launch in the Chinese market.
In addition to the official design reveal, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shared several key specifications of the Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition. According to the leak, the device will sport a large 6.71-inch LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution, offering smooth adaptive refresh rates and improved power efficiency. Powering the flagship is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, positioning it among the most powerful Android phones of 2026.
Battery performance also appears to be a major highlight. The Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition is rumored to pack a massive 7,200mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging, ensuring minimal downtime even for heavy users.
On the camera front, the device is tipped to feature a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, a 50MP front-facing camera is also expected.
Additional premium features reportedly include up to 24GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, an IP69K water and dust resistance rating, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, satellite communication support, and a dedicated physical camera button.
With its official launch just days away, the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition is shaping up to be one of the most powerful and luxurious smartphones of the year.
