Honor has officially confirmed the launch date of its highly anticipated Honor Power 2, revealing key design details, color options, and major hardware highlights.

The smartphone is set to debut in China on January 5, positioning itself as a powerhouse device thanks to its massive 10,080mAh battery — one of the largest capacities announced for a mainstream smartphone.

In a recent Weibo announcement, Honor shared a first look at the rear design of the Power 2. The device features a premium finish with a layout that closely resembles the iPhone 17 Pro, especially in terms of camera styling and texture. The rear camera module stretches across the width of the device and includes three separate camera cutouts housed inside a rectangular frame, giving it a bold and distinctive appearance.

The Honor Power 2 will launch in three color options: Rising Sun Orange, Magic Night Black, and Snow White. The orange variant, in particular, reflects a striking matte finish similar to Apple’s premium color offerings. Honor also confirmed that the device will be available in two storage configurations — 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage — ensuring smooth performance and ample space for apps, media, and productivity use.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, which is expected to deliver strong performance and efficient power management, especially important for a battery-focused smartphone. According to earlier leaks, the Honor Power 2 will also feature a 50MP primary rear camera, suggesting that the device is not only built for endurance but also capable of capturing detailed and vibrant photos.

The smartphone is rumored to sport a large 6.79-inch LTPS AMOLED display, which should offer sharp visuals, improved color accuracy, and a more immersive viewing experience — ideal for entertainment, gaming, and extended daily use. Combined with its ultra-large battery, the Power 2 appears to be designed for users who prioritize long-lasting performance without frequent charging.

With its impressive battery capacity, premium design, and capable hardware, the Honor Power 2 is shaping up to be one of the most notable smartphone launches of early 2026. More specifications and pricing details are expected to be revealed at the official launch event on January 5.
