Honor is preparing to launch the successor to its battery-focused smartphone lineup, and the upcoming Honor Power2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest battery phones of 2026.

The original Honor Power debuted in April with an impressive 8,000mAh battery, but the new model will take things even further with a significantly larger 10,080mAh battery, offering extended endurance for power users, travelers, and heavy multimedia consumers. The device is scheduled to be officially unveiled on January 5.

Ahead of the launch, a premature carrier listing in China has revealed the smartphone’s key specifications. The Honor Power2 will feature a 6.79-inch OLED display with a 1200 x 2640 resolution, promising vivid colors, deeper contrasts, and an enhanced viewing experience compared to its predecessor.

The phone will also come equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera, accompanied by a secondary 5MP rear sensor, while the front houses a 16MP selfie camera designed for video calls and social media content creation.

Under the hood, the Honor Power2 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 chipset, delivering efficient performance for multitasking, gaming, and 5G connectivity.

The device will ship with 12GB RAM and will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage variants, making it suitable for users who store large media files or apps. In terms of design, the phone measures 162.1 x 76.3 x 7.98mm and weighs 216 grams, which is relatively slim and lightweight considering its massive battery capacity.

The Honor Power2 will be offered in three stylish color options — Phantom Black, Snow White, and Rising Sun Orange — giving consumers a mix of classic and vibrant finishes. Previous leaks also indicate support for 80W fast wired charging, helping reduce charging time despite the device’s enormous battery size. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication and NFC support for contactless payments and smart connectivity.

With its record-breaking battery, capable chipset, and OLED display, the Honor Power2 appears to be positioned as a strong contender in the endurance-focused smartphone category. More official details, including pricing and market availability, are expected to be revealed during the January 5 announcement.
