Honor has rolled out a major update to its Device Clone app, now enabling seamless data transfer across Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS Next devices.

This innovative feature follows the earlier launch of AI Connect, which allowed wireless file transfers between Honor and Apple devices.

With the upgraded Device Clone app, users can now effortlessly migrate their data from older smartphones—whether they’re running Android, iOS, or Huawei’s HarmonyOS Next—to a new Honor device without needing extra accessories or cables. This upgrade marks Honor as the first smartphone brand to offer full data cloning support for HarmonyOS Next.

First to Support HarmonyOS Next Transfers

This breakthrough solidifies Honor’s position as a leader in cross-platform compatibility, especially as Huawei’s HarmonyOS Next gains popularity. The new Device Clone feature ensures that users switching to Honor from other ecosystems won’t face data loss or compatibility hurdles.

How to Use Honor’s Device Clone Feature

To begin, users need to install the official Device Clone app on both their old and new smartphones. Once installed, follow these simple steps:

On the new device:

Go to Settings > System & Updates > Device Clone

Tap “This is a new device”

Choose the old device’s OS (Android, iOS, or HarmonyOS)

On the old device:

Repeat the same navigation path

Tap “This is an old device”

Scan the QR code shown on the new device to connect both phones

Once connected, select the data you wish to transfer—such as contacts, messages, photos, apps, and more—then click “Next” to initiate the process.

This hassle-free solution ensures a smooth and secure transition to a new Honor smartphone, helping users retain their digital life with minimal effort.

With this update, Honor continues to push innovation and user convenience, making device switching more accessible than ever.
