Honor has officially expanded its budget-friendly smartphone lineup with the launch of the Honor X7d 5G, a feature-packed device designed to offer smooth performance, reliable connectivity, and a large battery — all at an affordable price.
The new handset arrives as the 5G-enabled version of the Honor X7d 4G launched last month, featuring an upgraded chipset and a few notable hardware changes.
Upgraded Performance With 5G Support
At the heart of the Honor X7d 5G is the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, bringing 5G connectivity for faster network speeds and improved multitasking capabilities. It runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9 on top, offering a clean and optimized user experience. The phone is available in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, ensuring smooth everyday performance and ample space for apps, media, and files.
Display, Camera, and Battery
The device sports a 6.77-inch TFT LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a fluid viewing experience ideal for scrolling and gaming. In terms of cameras, Honor has slightly scaled back the sensors compared to the 4G model. The rear camera setup now includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, replacing the 108MP shooter, while the front camera features a 5MP selfie sensor instead of 8MP.
Battery life is one of the X7d 5G’s strongest features. It packs a massive 6,500 mAh battery that supports 35W wired charging and 7.5W reverse charging, ensuring long-lasting power for daily use and the ability to charge other devices on the go.
Price and Availability
The Honor X7d 5G is available in Velvet Black and Desert Gold color options. It retails for MYR 699 (around $166) in Malaysia, with a wider international release expected in the coming weeks.
With its upgraded chipset, 5G support, and long battery life, the Honor X7d 5G is a solid choice for budget-conscious users seeking reliable performance and modern features without breaking the bank.
