Huawei is preparing to expand its product lineup with the launch of the Nova 15 smartphone series on December 22, and the event will also mark a milestone in the company’s wearable journey.
Alongside the new phones, Huawei is set to introduce a special 10th Anniversary Edition Huawei Watch, celebrating a decade since the brand entered the smartwatch market.
The anniversary smartwatch appears to be a limited edition variant of the Huawei Watch 5, rather than a completely new model. Huawei is using the occasion to highlight its progress in wearable technology since the debut of the original Huawei Watch in 2015. That first-generation device stood out at the time with its premium design, a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, slim bezels, and support for Android Wear (now known as Wear OS), powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 chipset and 4GB of internal storage.
Fast-forward ten years, and the newly revealed Huawei Watch 10th Anniversary Edition focuses on design exclusivity rather than hardware changes. The smartwatch features a distinctive blue casing paired with a woven strap that carries a denim-like texture.
