Huawei has officially unveiled its latest flip-style foldable smartphone in China — the Huawei Nova Flip S.
As its name suggests, the new model builds upon last year’s Nova Flip, adding refreshed color options, an upgraded processor, and a more affordable starting price, making it one of the most budget-friendly foldables in the Chinese market.
The Huawei Nova Flip S is available in six eye-catching colors: Feather Black, White, Azure Blue, Green, Soft Pink, and Star Black. Beyond its stylish design, Huawei has reduced the starting price to CNY 3,388 (approximately $475) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. This aggressive pricing strategy positions the Nova Flip S as a highly competitive option among foldable smartphones.
Under the hood, the device features an unnamed Kirin 8-series chipset, which recent leaks identify as the Kirin 8030 — a step up from the Kirin 8000 found in the previous Nova Flip. This upgrade is expected to offer better performance and efficiency for daily use and multitasking.
In terms of display, the Nova Flip S retains the same impressive setup as its predecessor: a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED main display with FHD+ resolution and a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, paired with a 2.14-inch OLED cover display for quick notifications and selfies.
Photography enthusiasts will find a capable camera setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor and f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera for detailed selfies.
Powering the foldable is a 4,400mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime. The smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, offering a smooth, feature-rich software experience.
The Huawei Nova Flip S is now available for pre-order in China, with open sales expected soon. With its elegant new colors, upgraded performance, and affordable pricing, Huawei’s latest flip phone is set to attract a new wave of users eager to experience foldable technology without breaking the bank.
