Huawei is preparing to expand its foldable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Huawei Nova Flip S, the successor to last year’s Nova Flip.
More than a year after the debut of its first affordable flip foldable in August 2024, the company is finally getting ready to introduce the next-generation model — as the device has now appeared in China Telecom’s online database.
Huawei Nova Flip S: Variants and Storage Options
The upcoming Nova Flip S carries the model number PSD-AL80 and will be available in three storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and a high-end 12GB + 1TB variant. While Huawei has yet to announce official pricing, the original Nova Flip recently received a price cut to CNY 2,900 (approximately $410 / €345 / ₹36,000), suggesting that the new model could launch in a similar price range.
New Color Choices and Design Details
One of the key highlights of the Nova Flip S will be its expanded color lineup. The foldable will be offered in six colors: Sakura Pink, Zero White, Sky Blue, Star Black, Feather Sand Black, and New Green. Four of these shades — Sakura Pink, Zero White, Star Black, and New Green — were previously available on the first-generation Nova Flip. However, Sky Blue and Feather Sand Black are brand-new additions for the upgraded model.
Currently, only images showing the inner display of the Nova Flip S have surfaced from China Telecom, leaving fans eager to see if Huawei will introduce any major design changes to the outer screen or hinge mechanism.
Launch Timeline
Huawei has not officially confirmed the launch date for the Nova Flip S. Industry insiders speculate that the device could make its debut in October 2025, but the company has yet to provide any official details.
With upgraded storage options, more color choices, and the promise of an affordable price tag, the Huawei Nova Flip S is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Huawei’s foldable smartphone lineup.
