Huawei is set to expand its flagship Pura 80 series beyond China, with a global launch event scheduled for July 10 in Dubai.
The series, which includes the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and Pura 80 Ultra, was initially unveiled exclusively in China a few weeks ago.
While Huawei hasn’t confirmed whether all four models will be available internationally, the company is heavily promoting the top-tier Pura 80 Ultra for the upcoming event. This suggests that at least the Ultra model will be making its global debut next month.
The global campaign for the Pura 80 series is already underway, with Huawei advertising the launch on its regional websites across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. However, there is no indication that the series will be introduced to the European Union on July 10, as promotional activity appears absent from EU-based platforms.
Among the models, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra stands out as the most advanced in the lineup. Powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset, it features a 50MP main camera with a large 1-inch type sensor for enhanced image quality.
Additionally, the device offers innovative switchable telephoto lenses, designed to improve zoom functionality without sacrificing clarity.
Huawei’s decision to host the launch event in Dubai indicates a strategic focus on emerging and developing markets, particularly where demand for premium Android alternatives remains strong.
The brand continues to face limitations in Western markets due to ongoing trade restrictions, which may explain the absence of a European rollout—at least for now.
With its combination of cutting-edge camera technology and in-house Kirin processor, the Pura 80 Ultra could position Huawei as a strong contender in the global flagship smartphone race. More details, including pricing and specific regional availability, are expected to be revealed at the July 10 event.
