In a surprising twist following a recent price hike, Hyundai Nishat Motors has introduced an exclusive discount on its premium SUV, the Santa Fe.
This limited-time offer arrives just days after the company raised prices across its lineup in response to the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Levy introduced in the 2025–26 federal budget.
The automaker had previously announced substantial increases in car prices—excluding electric models—with the Santa Fe lineup seeing hikes of up to nearly Rs 300,000.
Now, Hyundai is attempting to soften the impact of that increase by offering a promotional discount specifically on the Santa Fe, providing some relief for potential buyers.
Santa Fe Discount Offer Valid Until July 31
The offer includes reduced prices on two hybrid variants of the Santa Fe SUV:
Santa Fe Signature AWD now comes with a Rs 700,000 discount, bringing its price down to Rs 14,295,000 from the original Rs 14,995,000.
Santa Fe Smart FWD receives a Rs 400,000 reduction, lowering the price from Rs 13,250,000 to Rs 12,850,000.
This promotional pricing is valid until July 31, 2025, giving customers a short window to benefit from these limited-time savings.
Previous Price Revisions Due to NEV Levy
Earlier this month, Hyundai revised the pricing for the Santa Fe following the implementation of the NEV Levy:
The Santa Fe Hybrid Smart variant increased by Rs 260,000, reaching Rs 13,250,000.
The Santa Fe Hybrid Signature variant saw a Rs 294,000 hike, raising its price to Rs 14,993,000.
Hyundai’s decision to introduce a short-term discount appears to be a marketing strategy aimed at maintaining interest in the Santa Fe amidst rising prices.
With the SUV positioned as a feature-rich, performance-oriented option in the midsize category, the temporary price cut could attract buyers who may have hesitated after the earlier hikes.
This move signals Hyundai’s attempt to remain competitive in a challenging market while offering added value to consumers during a time of economic adjustments.
