Cricket fever is building up as the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 nears, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has now revealed the official warm-up match schedule.
A total of nine action-packed matches are set to take place between eight top-tier teams from September 25 to 28, 2025, across premier venues in Bengaluru, India, and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
These matches, all scheduled as day-night encounters, serve as key preparations for the main tournament, helping teams gear up for intense competition.
The venues include Bengaluru’s iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 ground, while Colombo will host games at the R. Premadasa Stadium and the Colombo Cricket Club.

The warm-up series will begin on September 25, with hosts India facing England at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 ground. Simultaneously, South Africa will take on New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In Colombo, Sri Lanka will face off against Pakistan at the Colombo Cricket Club, and Bangladesh will challenge a Sri Lanka ‘A’ team at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
On September 27, Australia, the defending champions, will enter the warm-up stage with a fiery clash against England—a highly anticipated match to be played in Bengaluru.
That day also features India vs New Zealand and Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, offering fans thrilling matchups to enjoy.
The final warm-up matches are scheduled for September 28, wrapping up this preparatory phase before the official tournament kicks off. All matches will start at 3:00 PM IST, allowing fans to enjoy prime-time cricket action.
Main Tournament Kicks Off September 30
Following the warm-ups, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will officially commence on September 30, with the grand finale slated for November 2.
The tournament marks a historic return to the subcontinent after 12 years, with games hosted at five world-class venues: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), and ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam).
