Infinix Launches Depth Effect Homescreen: Check Supported Phones

infinix

Infinix has officially introduced a new visual feature called Depth Effect Homescreen with its latest XOS 16 update. The feature aims to enhance the smartphone interface by making wallpapers interact dynamically with on-screen elements, creating a more immersive and visually engaging experience.

According to the company, the new Depth Effect Homescreen transforms how users interact with their devices. Instead of a static background, the wallpaper blends seamlessly with the interface, making icons and UI elements appear more layered and lively. The feature gives users a sense of depth, similar to modern UI animations seen in premium smartphones.

With every swipe or interaction, the wallpaper subtly shifts and integrates with the system layout, offering a dynamic and fluid visual experience. Infinix says this feature is designed to make everyday phone usage feel more modern and immersive.

The XOS 16 update, based on Android 16, is expected to bring several improvements beyond visual changes. Some of the major features include Live Updates, which display real-time notifications for services like ridesharing, food delivery, and navigation directly on the lock screen.

The update will also introduce Material 3 Expressive Design, featuring refreshed animations, vibrant colors, and a modern interface. Other enhancements include Desktop Windowing for improved multitasking on larger displays, Advanced Security Protection, and a better photo picker that allows users to share selected images without giving full gallery access.

Additional improvements include Adaptive Refresh Rate to optimize battery life and enhanced haptic feedback for a richer user experience during gaming and app interactions.

How to Update to XOS 16

Users can check for the update by opening Settings, navigating to System > System Update, and tapping Check for Updates. If available, the update can be downloaded and installed after ensuring the device has at least 50 percent battery and a stable Wi-Fi connection.

With the introduction of the Depth Effect Homescreen and Android 16 features, Infinix aims to deliver a more dynamic and feature-rich smartphone experience to its users.
