A recent durability test by popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything revealed that the regular iPhone 17 offers superior scratch resistance, thanks to its new soft-touch etched glass back design.
Unlike the Pro models, which feature sharp anodized aluminum edges around the camera module, the iPhone 17 opts for a smoother design that makes it less vulnerable to scratches. During the rigorous testing, the device was subjected to contact with various materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium rods, silver and gold coins, and copper wire.
