Irina Shayk is opening up about how motherhood has transformed her confidence and strengthened her sense of identity. The Russian supermodel, who shares her 8-year-old daughter Lea De Seine with former partner Bradley Cooper, reflected on the empowering shift she experienced after becoming a mom.
“To be a woman in power, you have to feel comfortable in your own skin,” Shayk said while discussing her new feature in the iconic Pirelli Calendar. She added that the moment feels meaningful in her career: “To be part of the Pirelli Calendar — I’m literally in the right time in my life. I’m a mother and I know who I am, I know what I stand for.”
Shayk also shared how she teaches Lea the value of self-love. Aware of the pressures created by beauty standards, she said she works to protect her daughter from unrealistic expectations.
The model further opened up about co-parenting with Cooper, noting that their daughter has “very, very little digital access, almost down to none.” Instead, Shayk focuses on real-world connection, emphasizing “building community, friends and just giving love.”
She believes that creating a supportive environment matters most: “This is the best thing that you could give to your kid — raising them in a loving family.”
Shayk’s candid reflections continue to resonate with fans who admire her commitment to motherhood, confidence and authenticity.
